Principal's Message

Welcome Back, Walnut Eagles!

Dear Walnut Elementary Families,

It is with great joy and excitement that I welcome you to the 2025–26 school year! My name is Mrs. Gabriela Espinosa, and I am honored to serve as your principal in my first year here at Walnut Elementary, Home of the Eagles.

I bring with me 24 years of experience in the Baldwin Park Unified School District, having served as a classroom teacher, CTI Coach, and Assistant Principal. Throughout my career, my passion has always been to ensure that every student thrives both academically and socially-emotionally. I am deeply committed to supporting our school community through high academic achievement, meaningful social-emotional learning, and a safe, nurturing environment where all students can soar.

I believe that strong communication and positive relationships between parents, teachers, and students are the foundation of a successful school. By working together, we can create a learning community where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.

Our school theme this year, “Together We Bloom and Grow,” beautifully reflects our shared mission. Together, we will cultivate a culture of growth, learning, and kindness with the goal of helping our students spread their wings and reach their fullest potential.

I am ready and excited to make the 2025–26 school year amazing and memorable for every member of our Walnut family. Let’s work side-by-side to create an extraordinary year filled with success, joy, and unforgettable moments.
